Cameron for four days!

Last weekend we spent four wonderful day with our grandson Cameron! Elizabeth and Bret went to Disneyland and left Cameron with us. We enjoyed him so much! The house seemed so clean and quite when I came home from work on Tuesday.

Friday I had to work so Christopher took care of Cameron. Christopher took Cameron to Babies R Us because we needed to get a stroller for him to use while at our house. Christopher said he kept getting strange looks for people that thought Cameron was his baby. Christopher fed Cameron lunch and then put him down for his nap. When Cameron woke up he was burning hot. Christopher called me at work and Tim said I could go ahead an go home. When I got home Christopher was sitting on the couch with Cameron sitting next him his resting his head on Christopher's shoulder. His cheeks were red and he looked so miserable. We took his temperature and it was 103.2. We quickly gave him Baby Advil and I put him in a cool bath to bring down his temperature.

I held Cameron on my lap while he felt bad and he snuggled with me. It reminded me of all the time I spent holding Christopher when he was sick. As soon as Cameron started feeling better he jumped off my lap was and off to play again! When Mike came home we had Mike and Christopher give Cameron a blessing. Christopher has done the anointing before but never the blessing part so this was his first blessing. It was great to watch my son us his priesthood to help his nephew.

I assumed I would be up during
the night giving Cameron more Advil and keeping his fever down. I planned to take him to the doctor Saturday morning but his temperature never went back up. Cameron slept all through the night and woke up without a fever at all! I could tell he still didn't feel well because he wouldn't eat well but he still laughed and played with us.

We went to Red Robin to start our fast on Saturday. Cameron had a wonderful time eating the limes out of my drink. When Jenny was here for Memorial Day Cameron enjoyed the lemons from Elizabeth's drink. He ate some of my garlic fries and he grabbed a piece of bread with chipotle sauce on it and shoved it in his mouth before I had a chance to stop him. He didn't even flinch, he ate the whole thing and enjoyed it!

Sunday we took him to church with us. Of course, church is never a baby's favorite place to go but he actually did really well. Christopher stayed in the nursery with him and he played well with the other children.Monday we took Cameron for a ride on Seattle's new light rail. He really enjoyed the train and we have some darling photos of him looking out the window. We got off the train in downtown and walked to Pike Place Market. We bought some Russian pastry's for dinner and a little toy for Cameron (Grandma must buy toys) and then headed back home.

I must admit at the end of four days I was tired but I sure did miss him when h
e left. I enjoyed him so much. Two nights when I went to bed he woke up so I put him in bed with me and he snuggled up with me and fell back asleep. I enjoyed cuddling with him. Then I put him back in his bed and he slept through the night. True joy in this life comes from your family!

Thank you Elizabeth and Bret for leaving Cameron with us. We're glad you had fun and we had a great time!
