Decorating the Kitchen

The only thing we have left to do to complete our move is to hang up our photos and pictures. We've also started getting some new decorations. This past week we've been working on the kitchen. I have a beautiful fabric map of Italy that one of my bosses brought back to me from Italy. I've wanted to use it to decorate the kitchen for quite some time. So, here's what we came up with. It fills the space on the only large vacant wall in the kitchen quite well.

Since we had a map of Italy we decided to follow an Italian theme. I found these photos on the Internet and printed them. Elizabeth gave me these two white frames and we hung them over the paper towel rack and sink. Eventually we will probably get pine (light wood) frames. But for right now they look good with the white from the map.

I've been wanting to make something the put on the dishwasher that tells us if the dishes are clean or dirty. Elizabeth got this wonderful cricut for Christmas and it was just the thing to help me with my project. Yesterday I went to Elizabeth's and we spent time together making a tag for the dishwasher. I followed the red, white, and blue theme and used the ribbon from Italy wall hanging. I think it turned out very nice. We had a wonderful time making it. Cameron loves watching the cricut cut the paper.
