We have eight feathered children, our delightful parakeets! They live on a large tower built out of K-Nex. They do not have cages at all! They fly around the living room and then go home to their tower. (Roo to the left and Robin on the right) 
We have had many birds over the years and unfortunately we've lost quite a few. This year has been rough because we lost our two oldest birds, Robin, the patriarch, and Roo, the Maestro! We enjoy our remaining birds but miss Robin and Roo so much.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your birds! I used to have some parakeets and I know how attached you get.
