I guess it's been a while since I updated the blog so I better get busy! This year Jenny came to visit for Christmas. I was very excited to have her come and spend the holiday with us. She arrived on Christmas Eve around 10:00 a.m. We drove to Elizabeth right away so she could see Cameron before he went down for his nap. When we got back to my house we walked to the grocery store together to buy the last of the food for Christmas (I got in my daily walk).
Christmas morning we all opened presents at my house. I was just telling Jenny on Christmas Eve that I was disappointed because I didn't see any books under the tree for me. Just after dinner Mike wrapped 3 more presents for me and I knew right away they were books! So, I got some books on English Royal History, bedroom slippers, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on DVD. Jenny gave us an Olive Garden gift certificate.
After breakfast we drove down to Elizabeth's and Bret's. We then opened presents with them. Cameron was the so much fun to watch with the presents. He helped Jenny open hers and loved her soaps from Bath and Body Works.

Later on the day we took a walk to the park behind Elizabeth's house. We had a great time pushing Cameron in his new car and taking photos of all of us.
We didn't want to have to work to hard on Christmas Day so we had Taco's for dinner. We had our big Christmas dinner on Sunday while Jenny was still here.
New Years Eve I was waiting for Mike to come home so he could take me to the Outback for dinner. When he walked in the door I took one look at his face and I knew we were going to the ER. He looked like he was in so much pain. In the ER we learned that he had diverticulitis, an infection in the ascending colon. He was given two bags of anti-biotics via IV and then we finally go to go home around 1:30 a.m.
He had to stay on a liquid diet for several days and introduce solid foods slowly. Now we're working on getting an appointment with a specialist to have his situation reviewed. What a whirlwind it's been!
Now we're all back to work and stressed to no end! ;)

I hate going back to work when vacations end.
