Chris - Getting Ready for a Mission

Christopher has been trying to get his papers in for his mission. He started his doctor appointments in January. We've had several set backs along the way. He had to miss his first physical appointment because he was sick with a terrible stomach virus.


Then when he finally went we discovered that he was no longer eligable for Mikes health insurance. He is over 18 years old and not enrolled in school full time. So, we had to put some things on hold until we could work out the insurance issue. Now we have him on COBRA insurance until he leaves on his mission.

Then he spoke with his Dr. about his sore knee and the Dr. sent him for X-rays. They discovered a lot of fluid on his knee and sent him for an MRI. The MRI showed some damage so he had to go to an Orthopedic Surgeon. Thankfully he does not have to have surgery but he will be have 2-3 months of physical therapy before he'll be cleared to put in his papers.


During this time the Men's Warehouse had their yearly sale on suits. Mike and Christopher went to the Men's Warehouse and bought Christopher two new suits. Christopher bought them with the money he has been saving for his mission. Here is a photo of Christopher in his new suit. I can't believe my baby is old enough to go on a mission!
